Being a travelaholic, I’m always keen on deserted landscapes and try to avoid the crowd. However, I found that there are some places which are so attractive that thousands and thousands of visitors come there every year, but they remain their pristine and tranquil beauty, for example, Thai islands. Koh Samui and Phuket islands are not strange to visitors at all and although they don’t seem to be lonely as in photos, they provoked my travel inspiration, so I decided to do a Thailand island hopping. And I have never regretted the trip.
Located in the Gulf of Thailand, it is the nearest island to Bangkok. For those who don’t have much time to go far away from the capital, Koh Si Chang is not a bad ideal. It just takes about two hours to travel from Bangkok to the island by boat. Despite the fact that Koh Si Chang is not the most alluring island in the nation, it is considered as a wise choice for an instant escape from the hustle and bustle streets in the city. Coming here, I had a chance to immerse myself in the green lush plants, fresh air, and even watch the sunset.
If you are hunting for coral reefs, Koh Samet is the right island for you. Because it possesses a rich marine life, numerous divers have visited this spot to satisfy their love for seeing the underwater world. In addition, white sand beaches are a plus for this site.
Also situated on the Rayong Coast, the private island of Koh Munnork is a great place to enjoy your atmosphere. If you want to arrive there, you have to use a private boat of the exclusive resort on the island. Since the number of tourists heading to the island is restricted, it preserves its original and peaceful pulchritude.
Being the second biggest island in the land of smile, Koh Chang is a miniature version of Phuket. It offers a wide range of activities, including kayaking through a charming mangrove forest and scuba diving. In addition, a large part of Koh Chang belongs to the national park, so you may train yourself by a jungle trekking tour. There are plenty of boats travel to other small islands daily, so your Thailand island hopping trip will be much more convenient.
A keen photographer will not want to miss the perfect background. When I first saw the photoshopped images on the Internet, I thought that they were edited too much. Until I landed my feet on the island, I was surprised to see how fanciful and beautiful it is! The images truly reflected almost the real prettiness of the landscape. And what made me more pleasant was that there were not as many tourists as in Koh Samui and Phuket.
Having been well-known for a long time, Koh Samui has been a favorite destination, especially in the summer holidays. It provides a great deal of activities for all travelers, from backpackers to luxurious-seeking ones, such as meditation, hiking, diving, cliff jumping, cycling around, as well as have fun in bars and clubs available on the island.
As the largest island in Thailand, the tourist attraction has all the things you desire for a tropical island journey. You can find charming beaches, mountain treks, tribal parties, and ancient constructions. Also, if you want to do a Thailand island hopping, like me, you can take a ferry from Phuket to other islands.
Coming to Koh Yao Yai, you will be truly relaxing by laying on a hammock on a secluded beach under the shadow of coconut trees, listening to the murmuring sound of waves and enjoy the gentle sea wind. Just lazily stay there all day and refresh your mind. Standing between two busy islands – Phuket and Krabi, it is unusual that there are only a handful of visitors reach the island.
Lying next to Koh Yao Yai, Koh Yao Noi is another seductive island which is full of green plants. Once heading to Koh Yao Noi, you will realize two typical things: dense, lush forests surrounded by several pretty beaches. However, the number of travelers to the island is even fewer than in Koh Yao Yai. Thus, you can expect a serene vacation there.
Koh Phi Phi is a renowned tourist destination in the nation, so it seems to be a must-visit place of many people, particularly solo travelers. When I first came to the island, it was full of people so I got overwhelmed! If you are a hardcore party person, you can take part in countless parties and make friends with hundreds of people while contemplating the awesome natural scenery. But there is nothing more than that, so don’t expect too much.
